Yes. PictoKit is completely free to download and use. All icon libraries, search, and paste features are included at no cost.

PictoKit requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later. It runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

PictoKit collects no personal data. We only collect anonymous usage data such as app opens and library usage to help us improve the product. All your data — favourites, recents, settings — stays on your Mac and never leaves your device.

PictoKit comes with a wide range of libraries across three categories:

  • Essentials: Emojis, Fluent Emojis, Characters
  • Icons: Lucide, Phosphor, Heroicons, Tabler, Material Design Icons, Bootstrap Icons, Iconoir, Simple Icons, Boxicons, Many Pixels
  • Images & video: Unsplash, Pexels, NASA, Klipy, Smithsonian

You can also add your own local folders as a custom source.

Yes. You can add any local folder to PictoKit. Your icons, logos, and images become searchable and accessible through the same shortcut.
